Coffee Coarse: a 3 course coffee tasting experience
Come join us for another coffee tasting experience!
Three courses and a welcome sip of unique coffee varietals made in unique ways. All enjoyed from the inviting confines of Dominion City Brewing Co.'s Taproom.
Try some experimental cofermented coffees (coffees fermented with fruits), some coffees from some of the most well known farmers in the world, and a signature cap that is sure to leave an impression. This tasting experience is sure to introduce you to some coffee flavours and brewing methods that may be new to you! Check out our menu in the images section for a better idea of what to expect.
We will also have bags of freshly roasted coffee available for purchase after the event should anything strike your fancy! And for only an extra $20, you can pre-order a 340g bag of one of our black label coffees.
The Deets:
When: January 26, 2025. There will be 8 seatings (4 in the morning slot, 4 in the afternoon). with each spaced out 15 minutes apart. Each seating will be a table of four (so you can either buy four tickets for a group or join others at a communal table of four). The experience should last between 1.5-2 hours.
Where: Dominion City Brewing Company's Tap Room! You're invited to stay on after the coffee tasting should you want to enjoy some of Dominion's amazing drinks and endless charm. If you'd like, let us know of any accessibility requirements (Dominion brewery is partially accessible, in that they have ramp access and large individual washrooms, but they are not fully accessible as lack handles and lowered sinks).
Tickets: 4 tickets per seating (so you can either buy all four tickets for a group or join others at a communal table of 4). $44.99 per ticket, or $64.99 with a 340g bag of a black label coffee. You can select the quantity of tickets when checking out, if buying more than one ticket.
Allergies/Dietary Requirements: This event does have some nut components (we cane make drinks without nuts but can't ensure no cross contamination). Vegan options are available for all beverages. Please let us know in advance should you want your drinks plant-based.

Overall a great experience. I arrived expecting something closer to a traditional coffee tasting or "cupping" where a number of coffees prepared the same way are presented at the same time and you compare and contrast what is essentially just plain black cups of coffee. This experience was completely different, and more like craft cocktail tasting at a fancy bar. Each coffee presented was unique and delicious and delivered in a different manner, much like a craft cocktail. I was a little skeptical at first if a simple coffee tasting was worth the money... but the experience that was delivered...not a simple coffee tasting...was absolutely worth it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in seeing a totally new side of coffee.
I purchased this tasting as a gift for my coffee-loving husband. He really enjoyed it.
on 26 January, Will and the Artery crew hosted a multi-course coffee tasting experience at Dominion City Brewing - it was an amazing experience. There were some truly funky coffees served, including a cherrywood smoke infused espresso. It was a great way to push the taste envelope and experience some incredible coffee recipes. I highly recommend these events as they present a unique opportunity to experience new coffees and recipes.
