This drippy speckled glaze 3oz demitasse in an Artery colorway, (with some discrete colour drips inside) were handmade by Valerie Daoust, a ceramicist in Embrun, Ontario, in collaboration with The Artery Community Roasters and their design elements that focused on enhancing the sensory experience of drinking coffee.
This demitasse also comes with a matching spoon and saucer.
Stirring your espresso is essentials, and this spoon won't impart any metallic taste to your drink. And the ever so slightly 3oz size allows for a touch of steamed or frothed milk, but is still perfect for those who take it straight.
After a few days of drying, the bottom of the demitasse bodies were trimmed and rounded. At this stage the oversized comfort and groovy loop handles were attached to the 3 oz pieces. After the first firing, each piece was hand painted with glazes ahead of the final firing!
Because every limited edition piece is handmade, they are inherently made in small batches, which enhances the individuality of each piece.
All glazes are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
