AeroPress Regionals x Coffee Right YOW (Contestant fee)

Taking place on the Parkdale Public Market's Park Stage during the Coffee Right YOW festival will be the AeroPress Ottawa Regionals, where the best cup gets to compete at the Nationals in Calgary in October! And the best part, The Artery and Eight Ounce Coffee will cover your airfare and hotel for 2 nights. And if you win the nationals, we'll send you to South Korea. Last year's nationals winner was from Ottawa, so let's go back-to-back!

And anyone can enter. From industry professionals, to at home baristas, AeorPress is the friendliest coffee tool in the game and anyone on their best day can take it home!

What your entry fee gets ya!

• Your entrance into the competition taking place during the Coffee Right YOW festival (Sept 12). Winner receives an expenses paid trip (return airfare from Ottawa to Calgary + 2 night hotel) to compete in Calgary at the AeroPress Nationals in October. 
• A 227g bag of the official coffee for the regionals, roasted by The Artery. Available for pick up at pre-determined dates at Parkdale Market or during business hours at the Artery's roastery, or can be delivered for a small surcharge (select it when checking out). Coffee will be available as.of Aug 12.
• Free OSMO filters provided by one of our awesome sponsors CAFUNE Boutique (optional, you are free to use whatever filters you want. OSMO filters can be picked up or delivered with your bag). They will also be available at the event.
• Use of a gooseneck kettle thanks to our sponsors and pals at Eight Ounce Coffee. And water will be supplied (contestants can also use their own water recipe).
• In addition to your bag, competition's coffee will be provided at the event for competitors. 

What you'll need to bring:

• AeroPress and filters (unless using OSMO sponsored filters).
• Brewing equipment: Hand grinder.
• Measurement tools: Scales and thermometers.
• Process accessories: Stirrers, carafes, decanters, and filter sieves.
  
• Outdoor event (covered stage, but since it can be a long event if advancing dress accordingly).
• You can bring your own kettle if you want, but their will be some provided. 
• The event can take up to 4 hours so bring any water or food you'll need (there will be many food vendors on site for the festival). 

Competition rules and logistics/details will be emailed to competitors. Make sure when purchasing your entrance fee you use the email you want to be reached on.
